Our Courses

We run a number of food courses throughout the year. Whether it’s foraging for summer and autumn fruits, buying shellfish within hours of it being caught, eating our home reared lamb, or collecting fresh eggs we have a cookery experience to suit you.

1 day and half day courses are available for the following themes and prcies start from  25€ per person.

Traditional Afternoon Tea - Cream Tea with scones - Cupcakes - British Puddings & Cakes - Chinese & Sushi.

The weekend courses run from Friday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime and are themed. 

Each course includes excursions, cooking and accommodation in our 17th century Normandy farmhouse. Clay pigeon shooting is also available on request.

Ferry discounts for Brittany ferries are available on request.

Sample 3 day course


Day 1 -
Continental Breakfast – Croissants and pain au chocolate fresh from the local Boulangerie, homemade jams and fresh eggs from our chickens.

Tour of Ferme de Banoville, meeting our livestock, polytunnel, (French style potager garden).

Lunch: Normandy Cheese board

Afternoon: 3 hour Cooking Session

Aperitif followed by 3 course dinner that we prepared in the afternoon. (Home reared Lamb or chicken).

Day 2 -
Continental Breakfast – Croissants and pain au chocolat fresh from the local Boulangerie, homemade jams and fresh eggs from our chickens.

Trip to Bricquebec or Valognes market – Sample anything we’re offered and purchase ingredients for the afternoon cooking session.

Lunch – Plat du jour at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: 3 hour cooking session

Aperitif, Dinner - eating what we’ve produced. (Rabbit pâté/Pigeon Breast/Lemon Mousse).

Day 3 -
Continental Breakfast, followed by a day to yourself to relax and explore the local area. There are lots of fantastic restaurants for your lunch which we are happy to provide recommendations for.

Excursions: examples of excursions include;
Ciderie, Foie Gras Farm, Carteret fish market, Scallop Festival at Grandcamp Maisey, Port au Bessin Scallop Festival, Fruits de mer festival at Granville, Apple Festival at Yvetot Bocage. Maison de Biscuit Sortosville en Beaumont, Maison de Biscuit – Ste. Mère Eglise.

Prices exclude transfers and you will need to arrange your own transport. There are a number of car hire companies in Cherbourg and Valognes.
